SmartRef offers with the Coffee Meister app two measurement methods to determine the total dissolved solids of your coffee. Depending on your needs you can choose between:
1. Total Dissolved Solids Custom (%TDS Custom):
This measurement method uses the well-known formula:
Factor: Enter a value between 0.80 and 0.90 - The default setting is 0.85.
Brix: SmartRef measures °Brix of the sample.
How to change the factor:
- Navigate to Settings
- Measurement Unit - SmartRef
- Select Total Dissolved Solids Custom (%TDS Custom)
- Tap on three dots on the right side
- Change factor
2. Total Dissolved Solids (% TDS):
This measurement method is a formula specially developed for the measurement of coffee between 0 to 25 %TDS.
