The cutting oil concentration can be directly determined with SmartRef. The digital refractometer measures the cutting oil concentration in °Brix and automatically applies a correction factor to the result (temperature compensated to 20°C).
To change the correction factor for your cutting oil solution proceed as follows:
- Navigate to Settings
- Select Measurement Unit
- Select Cutting oil (% Oil)
- Set the correction factor between 0.5 - 3.0
- The °Brix results are automatically corrected
