How do I perform a measurement with SmartRef?

Follow these steps to perform a measurement with SmartRef:

1. Make sure the prism surface and sample well are completely clean and dry.
2. Fill the sample area with >0.4 mL (the rim in the sample well indicates the filling height) of distilled water using a plastic pipette or plastic syringe.
3. Perform a zero adjustment.
4. Use the provided pipette to remove the distilled water.
5. Clean and dry the prism with a soft tissue.
6. Now you can fill in your sample and perform a measurement series.
7. After finishing the measurement always clean the prism surface and the sample well using distilled water or ethanol.
