Follow these steps to perform a measurement with SmartRef:
- Make sure the prism surface and sample well are completely clean and dry.
- Fill the sample area with >0.4 mL (the rim in the sample well indicates the filling height) of distilled water using a plastic pipette or plastic syringe.
- Perform a zero adjustment.
- Use the provided pipette to remove the distilled water.
- Clean and dry the prism with a soft tissue.
- Now you can fill in your sample and perform a measurement series.
- After finishing the measurement always clean the prism surface and the sample well using distilled water or ethanol.
